This time, a space where walking, eating well, and meaningful connection become true medicine for body and soul. In this issue, we share highlights from our recent Walk with a Doc event and key takeaways from the “Eat Well, Live Better” workshop held on August 3. |
CAMINATA – WALK WITH A DOC
On July 26, we hosted our very first Walk with a Doc event in Melbourne, Victoria — a free, inclusive community walk that brings together health conversations and physical activity in a fun, relaxed setting.
Walk with a Doc was founded by cardiologist Dr. David Sabgir, who invited his patients for a walk in a park back in 2005. What started as a local idea is now a global movement, with hundreds of walks taking place across the world — all promoting walking as medicine.
👟 At our walk, I shared a brief health talk about the benefits of walking, encouraged a mini 7,000-step challenge, and most importantly, walked and talked with participants to create space for connection, questions, and movement.
💡 What makes Walk with a Doc special is how we turn a simple walk into an opportunity for whole-person health.

If you're in Melbourne, we’d love to see you at the next walk!

An Evening With Dr Rangan Chatterjee
Dr Rangan Chatterjee visited Melbourne recently and I had the privilege to attend his event focused on building lasting changes.
His definition of someone who is thriving really resonated with me.
"Someone who UNDERSTANDS & OWNS their internal responses, intimately knows what they stand for, and lives each day in harmony with the person they know themselves to be." Dr Rangan Chatterjee
The definition includes three elements: Mindset, values and actions.
Are we living in alignment with our own values?
Dr. Chatterjee is well known for his work in lifestyle medicine and his best-selling books, the latest being Make Change That Lasts: 9 Simple Ways To Break Free From The Habits That Hold You Back.
